The inaugural crowdsourced Green Mondays demonstrated the remarkable willingness of experts across sectors to collaborate - in a time-efficient manner - to help Sainsbury's with its sustainability strategy. 220 people admired the breadth and many areas of the programme, but concluded that it needs to make changes if its wants to move from its current rating of "marginally ahead" to being an outright leader.
These are the key moments that contributed to the final "Wisdom of the Crowd"
The Wisdom of the Crowd The final document. Drawing on the myriad of views expressed in the initial Appraisal and Roundtable write-ups, this document captures the collective wisdom of the crowd: their verdict on the plan, the 10 key recommendations, and the summary of thinking in each area.

Appraisal Between the 17th and the 26th September, 155 corporate sustainability experts from across business sectors completed a 25-minute appraisal of Sainsbury's sustainability strategy. It was the first time that a major company had laid bare its sustainability strategy for peer review. This document contains the results. The 1,162 area ratings, 689 comments and 488 leader nominations have generated a strategy gap analysis for Sainsbury's, and a range of ideas for improvement across key areas of its business model.

Roundtable notes These are the roundtable notes from the Green Monday on the 1st October 2012, relating to the 10 areas of strategy that were considered in the Appraisal document. Each table was given the relevant Appraisal section in advance, and was asked to determine the 3 key actions for Sainsbury's in their area, which informed the Wisdom of the Crowd document. These notes also contain the broader conversation topics.
